Abstract
Despite the improvement of the regulatory framework, cases of late diagnosis of critical congenital heart defects (CHD) continue to be registered in clinical practice, which indicates the presence of educational deficits that are not predicted by the traditional design of simulation programs. An approach to continuous learning improvement is presented, in which a critical clinical incident is used as a source of identifying deficiencies and updating the content.
