The Use of the Simulator "Eversion Carotid Endarterectomy" as a Way to Teach the Skills of Performing the Operation

Abstract

The use of the existing arsenal of trainers and simulators makes it easier to achieve the set training goals, but is limited either by high cost or a certain range of simulators on the market that do not fully reflect the entire list of required skills. We have developed the Eversion Carotid Endarterectomy simulator from commercially available components. Approbation of its use in the conditions of classes with students of the Corps of Tutors of the MSO Wagner and residents of the specialty "Cardiovascular Surgery" was carried out. Application analysis showed high realism and efficiency.
