Abstract
The association of residents and students in a single forum - the All-Russian Olympiad of Residents and Students in Surgery with international participation named after Academician E.A. Wagner allowed to intensify the process of teaching surgical skills and knowledge to both categories of students. Participation in the Olympiad contributed to the development of their operational techniques, the association of young doctors and students, and the transfer of professional experience. The Olympiad has become a strong stimulating factor for the active preparation of both students and residents.
