Abstract

The shortage of emergency medical doctors dictates the need to expand the competencies of paramedics. The effectiveness of a 4-hour simulation training in emergency obstetrics was evaluated. For the first time, 72 paramedics practiced exercises on simulators. The paired analysis (97.2% coverage thanks to fuzzy matching) showed an increase in correct answers from 48% to 89% (p<0.001). MacRoberts' reception skills improved from 37% to 96%. The high efficiency of the simulation method has been proven to improve the safety of childbirth outside the Ministry of Health.
