The Experience of Combining Clinical and Simulation Education in the Training of Surgical Specialists at Wagner State Medical University

Abstract

Academician E. A. Wagner Moscow State Medical University has developed its own approach to improving the effectiveness of a combination of simulation and clinical education in the training of future surgeons, which is most clearly manifested in working with the university's Olympic surgical team. After completing basic training, specialized skills are taught, at the same time students are sent for internships at clinics in their chosen field. Graduates who have been trained according to the developed methodology receive excellent marks from practical healthcare professionals upon graduation.
