The Importance of a Detailed Explanation by a Teacher of the Algorithm of Actions in an Emergency Situation in Simulation Training for the Formation of Sustainable Professional Competence of Medical University Students

Abstract

The study involved 51 students divided into 2 groups, trained in the algorithm of emergency care for acute coronary syndrome on the virtual patient simulator "BodyInteract". The first group (30 students) followed the algorithm without explanations from the teacher, the second (21 students) — with detailed explanations and the opportunity to ask questions. After 2 months, the assessment on the checklist showed that students with explanations were 5-10% more effective than those who did not receive explanations.
