The Role of the Simulation Center in Conducting and Preparing for the Olympiads in Surgical Specialties Among Residents

Abstract

The simulation center plays an important role in training medical personnel. The All-Russian Interdisciplinary Olympiad among residents has been held for two years at the A.V. Vishnevsky National Medical Research Center of Surgery. Pros: immersion in the specialty, working through surgical interventions, improving hand motor skills, communication between educational institutions. Cons: high workload for students, high costs for preparing competitions. Organizing and holding Olympiads in a simulation center is a progressive stage in training medical personnel in surgical specialties.
