Assessment of Communication Skills in Medicine at the Siberian State Medical University

Abstract
One of the most relevant principles in the development of healthcare is patient orientation. The purpose of the study is to identify the level and need for the development of professional medical communication skills among students, teachers and doctors at the Siberian State Medical University. A continuous anonymous online survey was conducted. There is a shortage of knowledge and skills in the field of communication skills, however, there is a fairly high level of commitment to a participatory approach and a positive attitude towards teaching to doctors communication skills.
