Interaction with a «Difficult» Patient: a Communicative Aspect

Abstract

This article is devoted to the study of the communicative aspect of interaction with a “difficult” patient. The study includes a consideration of the phenomenon of a “difficult” patient in Russian and foreign theory and practice, and also describes the results of a sociological survey conducted among medical workers on issues of interaction with “difficult” patients. The discussion part of the article describes the methodology for implementing the «5A» communication strategy, designed to improve the process and results of communication with a “difficult” patient.
