Abstract

Employees of the non-state security sector, providing first aid for gunshot wounds, should be able to apply all the main methods of temporarily stopping bleeding. Also, the possession of these methods should be checked during the procedure for an independent assessment of qualifications. The aim of our study was to create and test an inexpensive training device for teaching wound tamponade in the presence of a deep wound channel — a hemostatic applicator.
