<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>The article substantiates the importance of simulation training of residents' communication skills when working with "difficult patients" at the reception. The study was conducted on the basis of the Center for Simulation Technologies of Krasnoyarsk State Medical University named after Prof. V. F. Voino-Yasenetsky with the participation of residents of the 2nd year of study. The methodology included the development of a clinical scenario with a trained actor in the role of the patient. The conclusion is made about the high effectiveness of simulation cases for the formation of skills of empathy, active listening and conflict management, as well as for the prevention of professional burnout of primary care physicians.</p></trans-abstract></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><title>References</title></ref-list><fn-group><fn fn-type="conflict"><p>The authors declare that there are no conflicts of interest present.</p></fn></fn-group></back></article>
