This study describes the stages of transformation of curricula for the development of communicative competencies among students in the specialty "General Medicine". Fifteen years of experience of the Medical University of Karaganda (Kazakhstan) showed the evolution of the training program with the identification of weaknesses and justification of the reasons for changing the program in order to improve it.
